I’ve managed to get 3/4 tournament cards from Platinum packs over the span of a few months and that’s from only playing against NPCs. It’s not impossible.

Im guessing that as they add cards into the game it'll essentially make it to where you dont have to rely on the platinun card for this achievement. We'll see

This is so unreasonable.... Trying to fill up my TT collection and seeing the requirements for the rest of the cards that would allow me to unlock this one just turns me off....

Everyone out here complaining about platinum pack cards while my godawful rng still hasn't let me get either zidane or WoL from gold packs. I guess I'll wait until 6.1

Not tough at all, just relax and take it casually. I had every single card until EW dropped, and its not because I banged my head against the wall endlessly trying to grab 'em. Some of the nuances of the TT collection journey can be a bit tough but you're not meant to do it in a day!

Been opening Platinum packs for months and not a single platinum card has dropped since I got Firion in like June. So i've opened nearly 40 packs if I include the bi-hourly tournmanet rewards and haven't gotten a single platinum card. not even a double of one i already had. Unless you can't get doubles? I'm only missing Lightning and Cecil.

Gemstones do not count, it is specifically geared towards other NPC’s with decks to play against. As for tournament cards, I have played countless times and still haven’t secured a Tidus card. Rules for that mode are the worst and cater to no one and it just happens to never fall in my favor. Placed 5th while my buddy took 3rd in that one.

You can either wait until more cards are added or play the tournaments. Look at the Ranking Board on most server. Playing against humans will give bad players a better score than the best player farming AI. You can't expect to get tournament cards if you refuse to play the tournaments.

It's not unfair, or impossible. Just aim for getting platinum packs from the tournaments and you'll get them all within a year or so. I'm far from a tournament tryhard, but I got the tournament cards just fine. Aim for 1600+ points per tournament for 3 packs, and do open tournaments for chances at more packs.

This one is simply unfair. With all of the tournament tryhards planning their games vs others it will be impossible for the 99.99% of the players to get. They need to reduce it by 5 to ignore the tournament cards :(
