Took a long while to get both cards -- I ended up with five Ark Angel HM before I got 1 Ark Angel EV. I experimented with some of the strats below and got pretty decent results with the Squall build. One tip would be to bring a card to recapture your own if you bring a double ace like that. (Rules: Fallen Ace, Plus)

I've played triple triad since ARR, collected almost every card, got the mount, won multiple triple triad tournaments and placed top 5 in many more and nothing has made me hate the game more than this jerk and plus

Fallen Ace + Plus. I used a deck of [5] Squall Leonheart [4] Brute Justice [3] Menphina [3] The Griffin [3] Gancanagh. When going first I prioritized placing Gancanagh in SE corner then the npc frequently responds with Moenbryda along the edge to steal. You can respond with (ne corner) Menphina or (sw corner) The Griffen to steal it back. The game should mostly play itself from there, just be careful of a late 'plus' from her rng [3] card ruining your hard work.

Ardbert is a good card to have here. i also used Alphinaud & Alisaie, Thancred, Papalymo & Yda andUrianger. when you get first move a good strat is to start with your twins card.

For her I do my recommended: Thaliak, Llymlaen, Oschon, Themis and Clive Rosfield. AI almost always drops her Shadowbringers Urianger in bottom corner, or middle right. I drop Llymlaen in bottom middle, she captures it, then I turn her card with Thaliak left middle, then Oschon top left. Clive and Themis in middles/rights.
