I should add - this is a cheating NPC with an RNG rule set, so don't be disheartened if you lose a heap. They've got three 5*s and two 4*s under their arsenal, with four As and six 9s between them, and CHAOS makes holding onto your 1s to turn As over impossible. Just keep it up and eventually RNG will be in your favour!

Wasn't chasing Terra. 4 wins, 0x Terra Branford, 1x Magitek Colossus. Super easy with my Fallen Ace deck -- 5* Hildebrand & Nashu, 4* Ran'jit, 3* Y'shtola, 3* Ysale, 3* Asahi sas Brutus. The deck is specifically designed to counter Terra, Thordan 7 and Merlwyb. Some of these cards can be a grind to get, so here are some replacement suggestions: 5* Hildebrand & Nashu and 4* Ran'jit can be replaced with 4* Shiva, 4* Bismarck, 3* Lyna, 3* Hilda, 3* Titan || 3* Y'shtola and 3* Asahi can be replaced with 3* Forgiven Obscenity, 3* Genbu, 3* Strix, 4* Odin, 4* The Ruby Weapon or 5* Kan-E-Senna (this gives up your 5* slot, and I would recommend 5* H&N over this card) || 3* Ysale can be replaced with 3* Phoebad, 2* Runar, 3* The Griffin, 4* Leviathan or 5* Squall Leonheart (a worthy contender for your 5* slot, I recommend it if you don't have H&N). Mix of strong and weak cards (with 1's on the sides) does the best you can hope for since the Chaos rule makes any real "strategy" impossible. It also helps to remember which aces the overseer still has in his deck and try to plan ahead.

I managed to win every other duel with Noctis, Ruby, the Griffin, Roundrox & Lunar Bahamut. This set gives 3 opportunities to snatch Terra with the Fallen Ace, which you should do whenever you get the chance (he doesn't really think about protecting her once he lays it). Just be mindful of Thordan, especially if he holds it until late in the duel

can get relatively consistent wins now (50-60%, more draws than losses), so long as chaos rng doesnt screw me over. deck used is squall, hilda, arr y'shtola, seiryu and suzaku, offering several opportunities to flip the weaker sides on cid and the twins and to use fallen ace to its full effect. remember to use and abuse fallen ace when you can, since you cant win with might alone! currently have about four copies of colossus, still waiting on that terra drop...

i havent won once against the Hall Overseer, even with a deck that has multiple cards with 1's on it. either the deck im using (usually recommended with decent-good cards) is bad or the hall overseer's cards are just op/busted. (the recommended deck is usually Ferdiad, Julyan Manderville, Vedrfolnir, Lucia goe Junius and Squall Leonhart)

8 magitek cards to 1 terra ratio for me. My deck: Y'stola, Tioman, Lyna, Noctis Lucis Caelum, Estinien. I had a lot of draws and several losses though, couldn't tell you how much as I stopped counting. Tioman & Lyna were useful

Holy hell I despise the Chaos rule. Yea, lets just let your CPU opponent pick your cards, while also picking it's own. That's perfectly fair.

He has no cards with 1 on the top or left, so Squall is a perfect card here. Other than that make sure you take 1s but dont bother with any 1s on the right. He has no As on the right

Make sure you have cards with the number 1, so that you can flip any of his cards with As.

The rules allow for strategy. Even the odds by having cards in your deck with "1" sides to counter his multiple A's with Fallen Ace.

It's another one of these cheater NPC:s that Square Enix loves to put into the game. Will use much better cards than you are allowed to use every time and is not affected by the chaos rule. Be prepared to play a ton of games and just win a few.
