Decided to grind out my roulette achievement here. 735 Games: 672W/28D/35L, ~91% win rate. 105 strix cards, 103 calcabrina cards, 96 byblos cards, 56 A&A Cards. Works out to just about 400 MGP per win when selling cards and accounting for match fee, which is quite a good deal.

I use The Griffin, Thancred, Ysale, Leviathan, Regula van Hydras. Thancred is there simply to bait their Shadowbringers A&A, so if you start the match, place him top-right. If you start, place Thancred top-left and it's very likely the AI will steal it with A&A. Seeing as the underside of both is an 8, this'll help setup a combo later. If not, place Griffin bottom-left and use Thancred top-right as a filler move if needed. You want to keep Ysale later (top-left) if possible, Regula to steal any bottom-right Byblos plays, and Leviathan (preferably) in the centre for a mega-combo if they use Calcabrina nonsense. AI has a few funky routes but I've won the majority that didn't involve Ascend/Descend/Order/Chaos, and even pulled out some wins despite those rules. It's not perfect, but I didn't have all the cards needed for other player strategies, so just threw this together myself. 6 Strix, 5 Calcabrina, 3 Byblos and 0 SHB A&A so far after about 30minutes at about 75% wins so far.

I played against Mero months or weeks ago I can't recall and got all of her cards except A&A, I'm currently trying to complete it but she won't even drop duplicates or A&A and I'm around 70ish wins and 90 something games.

I had probably 150 wins to get Alphinaud and Alisaie. Used Eros, Titania, Philia, Charibert, and Shadowbringers Warrior of Light and had pretty consistent wins.

I’ve played him off and on and only needed A&A, so this just what I counted. 38 games, 20W, 9L, 9D. I used decks listed in the comments as well as tweaking one today (which is when I got my A&A drop: Ysayle, Asahi, Qitian, Arenvald, ShB WoL (don’t have Bartz).

Correction above in my tip, if Mero starts DON'T use Tancred at his time, if you Starts so use it, because this way you force him to flip your Tancred with Alphinald & Alisae Card, so you become able to combo all cards with Ysayle.

My best Deck against him was 1: Qitian Dashed ( Middle ), 2: Y'sthola ( Lower Left ), 3: Thancred ( Up Right ), 4: Ysayle ( Up Left ) and 5: Brute Justice. With that Deck and Order i got over 90% wins most of times, unless it was Descend/Ascension Rules or Mero don't get Byblos in his Deck. If Mero Starts use Tancred at his time, if you Start isn't necessary, Mero is going to use Alphinald & Alisae at Up Center and Byblos at Center Left, so Ysayle is going to Combo all cards in the table.

Beware the Plus rule if you're in the habit of playing a standard 8-corner beatdown deck, as most of the low-level cards can potentially combo you. On the other hand, if you swap one of the corner cards for a Fat Chocobo, Mero's cute little strategy suddenly backfires.

Drop rate is extremely low - Finally got mine after around 180 victories. To put some of the previous theories to rest - no, flipping the whole board in your favor did nothing in my case, and it occurred about a dozen times. My best deck against him consisted of Ysayle, Asahi, Qitian, Arenvald and Bartz. By far the biggest obstacle is his Calcabrina card, so play around it. I just want to echo the one post where somebody won the 5 star card by clearing the entire board. I just did this on probably my ~30ish match and won the card. Never heard of this, but perhaps clearing the board increases chance dramatically?
