This is one frustrating NPC. I had King Mog and Darkscale. I couldn't get any consistent momentum going with any decks listed here. I found a deck at another site, it was only consistent on one pattern he did, but it worked, and Kal dropped at win 11. Decided this sucks and I'll go grind Sohr. Played a few games to get the pattern down to report, and he dropped Hresvelger at win 16. I'm lucky. 33 games, 16W, 10L, 7D. 4 King Mog. Deck was Susano, Griffin, Charibert, Haurchefant, Noctis. If he opens with Niddy bottom right, put Susano top mid. He'll put Hraes mid-mid, then put Haurch right mid to flip Niddy, Hraes, and Susano. Good luck, I hope they never add a card to this NPC because I never want to play him again.

DO NOT play the Master Mogzin for the Hraesvelgr card. Just do Sohr Khai. My girlfriend got it on her 3rd run, and I got it on my 10th or so. I accumulated over 75 Good King Moggle Mog XII cards, 15 Darkscale cards, and Kal Myhk cards from Master Mogzin but never once saw him drop this card.

Want to challenge this guy to get a card to complete your collection but you haven't done moogle beast tribes before, not a problem. Just complete 20 side quests, do your 3 daily turn ins for about 6 to 8 weeks and then you can play him easy peazy.

A few strategical notes: 1) by order of priority he starts by using (if he has it) Nidhogg, then (if he has her) Ysayle, then Hraesvelgr, unless he can take a card directly (e.g. if you start with Lucia or Estinien on the bottom, he'll often start with Hraesvelgr) 2) he only has three cards with 2 identical numbers: Hraesvelgr (TR), Moogle Mog (TB) and Ysayle (BR), so avoid giving him an opportunity to use Same with those (he will prioritize it 95% of the time) 3) He often plays Nidhogg in the BR corner if he can't take a card with it. If you use Phoebad/Estinien and a card with same numbers on Left and Right, you can turn it quite easily (Gilgamesh & Enkidu works for example) 4) he really has a lot of different number combinations so randomness will remain high.

The odds of getting any card are around 30% against him, which means that on average, for 10 wins (assuming you only get 3* cards) you get 100 MGP directly and 1500 from reselling, which means an average of roughly 160 MGP per won game. However, win rate is hard to get near 100% due to the rules - but with 50%, you're still around 135 MGP per win which isn't too bad.

I've battled him before and already had Good King Moggle Mog XII and Kal Myhk, but I went at him for a half-hour straight today and finally got Hraesvelgr. 28 duels (18 wins, 7 draws, 3 losses) gave me 5x Good King Moggle Mog XII, 1x Kal Myhk, and 1x Hraesvelgr. My deck was: Coeurlregina, Livia sas Junius, Terra Branford, Haurchefant, and Rhitahtyn sas Arvina. Lots of 7's, 8's, and 5's to work with for Plus and Same rules.
