ARR Deck: "Garuda", "Titan", "Ifrit", "Shiva", "Midgardsormr". The NPC likes to try to flip with "Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn" after you play your strongest card and it's played in almost every bout, so keep an eye on that one. Playing to the "Same" makes reverse-flipping in your favor easier. Custom deck covers most bases but it is still advised to use a mote of caution due to the heavy-hitters the NPC has.

I typically lead with it in the right middle slot. Don't focus too much on the Plus and Same rules. The amount of time you would spend trying to use those rules to your advantage are better spent just spamming attempts and going for fast wins.

I think these percentages are off. I'm on card 225 and this is the first time a 3-card NPC has given out three same card (Y'shtola) over and over and over. Have 11 of her and finally one Leviathan dropped. I'll try for the Admiral another day.

I normally don't post on these guides but this is my fair warning to every one of my fellow collectors. I it took me 297 games across 6 hours to finally get Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn (0.003%). Before that I got 8 Leviathan's and 22 Y-shtola's. Your luck may be better than mine, but be prepared! To anyone interested, I used Squall Leonhart, Pipin Tarupin, Lucia Goe Junius, Behemoth, and Vedrfolnir.

Took me about 4 hours of grinding to get the Admiral but I got it. Didn't keep track of how many wins it took but I got 8 Leviathans and 19 Y'shtolas before I finally got the damn 5 star.

Budget build of Bahamut, Sylph. Sahagin, Bomb, Chocobo. When going first you'll want to place Chocobo in the bottom left slot, and Sahagin will often be your Plus enabler. Out ofg50 games I got 44 wins, 4 draws, 2 loses, 12 Y'shtola, and 3 Leviathan.

I used the deck of Roland / Y'sthola / Thancred / Urianger / Raubahn Aldyn as suggested by Anonymous Player on the 4 / 11 / 2019. Once you get used to where to place your cards (it's something you'll get a feel for) it becomes very easy to steamroll over Rhiki. If you go first, Thancred top-right. If you don't go first, focus on countering all of her cards and only put Thancred in the top-right if you don't have any other card that you can take. Try and avoid using middle square early on because of the Same + Plus rules because you can get hard comboed with a bad placement. Most of her cards have very poor stats on their top and left sections; avoid using the bottom right corner for as long as possible.

Also, I used Roland, Yshtola, Thancred, and Urianger (for the strong 7-8 corners which also do well in Plus) backed by Raubahn Aldynn. Always started with Thancred in the top right corner, and countered until I won with an average 18/20 win rate, with a couple draws and losses along the way.

Over 20 hours of time sunk into this one to finally get Merlwyb. 34 Y'shtola, 15 Leviathan and 1 Merlwyb. I took a lot of losses and draws until I began using Pipin, Nero, Hilda, Kuribu and Squall. I highly recommend baiting into the bottom right as most of her top left numbers are weak. She likes to keep Titan and Cid in reserve for last card Plus chains so beware and good luck to you!

They mean the "Recommended deck" option in-game, where you let the game choose cards for you (basically, it will get the cards with the highest numbers).

If you haven't done "They Came from the Deep" yet, which is the start of the Sahaghin dailies, you can't challenge her to Triple Triad, until you finish the quest. Cause her dialog after accepting forces it to: "R'ashaht Rhiki: I'd prefer naught more than to gut a few score fishbacks and leave their corpses rotting on the beach, but our rescue efforts must come first. Make your way to Bloodshore and search the shallows for survivors!"

To begin with I tried using methods similar to the King Elmer Win strat, but eventually I switched to just using the recommended deck. Look for Plus whenever you can (Same I always find is less often achievable).
