40 W, 11 L: Yshtola at W 10, 17, 36. Minfilia at W 40 Deck was Siegfried, Azulmagia, Yshtola, Qitian Dasheng, Therion. I used Forbidden Obscenity instead of Yshtola until I won that card. But it might be even better to have a card with 8 8 top and right to counter the occasional Shiva. Started bottom left with Yshtola and forced him to build up. At some point Therion was able to block a lot of flips or flip cards itself. Just have to lure the A sides on right in Minfilia and top in Nanamo so they are useless.

I've yet to get Minfillia from this guy but I like using a deck with Lucia, Ysayle, The Griffin, Hilda and a card that has high top numbers (Nidhogg in my case). Aside from Merlwyb, almost all of his cards have weak bottoms so always try to start from the lower left or lower right (unless you're given something that you may not want to keep in case of Sudden Death like Y'shtola or Miounne. I usually put them at mid if so haha) and avoid putting a card on the top rows if there's no card below it yet. You can also try to bait their Y'shtola. They like putting her in middle-left a lot, perfect for flipping with Ysayle.

I have been pissed off for months trying to figure out why he wouldn't play with me... I had done every side quest years ago. After all of that I finally worked out it was the Dancer quest "Gambling for Gil" that I had in my journal preventing me from it. I guess he is involved in that quest. If you are having trouble, and have done the sidequests... look out for this one - it caught me up. Had no idea he was involved in that.

He's actually at 33, 30 sitting on a chair. You have to accept a quest before you can play so it won't be on the map. 5 wins, 1 loss. 1x Y'shtola. 20% drop rate. Already had Minfilia so not sure about the drop rate on that one.

Just to clarify for everyone, you must complete 3 sidequests from Gegeruju in order to see the triple triad icon and challenge him. The 3 sidequests are super easy and fast.

About 50 wins, 5x Y'shtola, 1x Minfilia, I think the 13% droppchance of this site is ment to be Y'shtola and not Minfilia

Used deck Memeroon, Mutamix Bubblypots, Chimera, Blue Dragon, and Lahabrea with Lahabrea taknig 2 cards at once when Gegeruju had 2 corner cards. Pretty good win ratio with with first win or sudden death till win.

I wasn't able to challenge him until I was lv 43. It happens way after earlier main missions in Costa. Won Minfikia at with luck at first game.

There must be some conditions (and from Reddit its quests though i've done everything i can so far) as I can't challenge him but the option to start is there. (He just says something about perving at his serving girls)
