Using Hilda / Ysayle / Lucia / Squall / Innocence (last one can be replaced by any 4-star with three 8 sides). Always play from left to right on the board, usually open with Lucia or Hilda.

I played him a few times (no more than 10 games in any one go) a week for months, finally got Hildi & Nashu today. Hila, Ysayle, Lyna, Squall, and Haurchant works well. Play aggressively. I got the card with only one flipped card (was averaging wins by 1-3 cards), it's not locked behind full a blue board.

90 wins for Hildy, with 8 Goberts and 7 Thancreds along the way. I used a slight variant of Lore Reference's March 5th recommendation: Hilda, Ysale, Lyna, Squall, Haurchant. 1. Open with Hilda top right 2. Ysale top right 3. Either Lyna in top middle or Squall middle left (based on what made sense) 4 or 5. Haurechant bottom right. The key thing to remember is that he has Hildy (A on bottom) and Raubahn (A and 9 left and bottom), so working the top down (and right to left) is your best bet. 90W-10D-1L.

71 wins - 3 Thancred (15th, 62, 69th win) - 3 Godbert (28, 31, 53th win) - 1 Hildishu (71th win) -- Played with Hilda, Ysayle, Ardbert, Squall and Haurchefant. Play Hilda in top right if possible, then play Ysayle top left (nearly always possible). Then play either Ardbert or Squall, whichever doesn't exposes any weak side. Always play Haurchefant as your last card, wether it's the 4th or 5th. With a bit of paying attention between Ysayle and Haurchefant, you are looking at a 90%+ win-rate.

107 matches. 67 wins, 27 draw, 13 losses. 3 Godbert. 8 Thancred. I had initially beaten him months ago, gave up on Hildi & Nashu but came back months later to finish the job. I used Ysayle, Hilda, Thordan vii, The Griffin, & Haurchefant. If you go first always start top right. I start with Hilda: top right. Then take Top left with Ysayle, usually Hab moves in with Thancred or Godbert in bottom left, with Thancred middle. and you can use Haurchefant to take bottom right corner/Griffin on bottom left to counter cactuar or Godbert since they usually are at bottom/left. Thordan can be used later or if you see an opportunity to take 2 cards or hold at least 1 turned card. If he does put Thancred up top wait a turn to take it, but the important thing is, dont start left start right and work your way top right and down if you can. Good luck.

Still farming for the Hildi card and starting to get an army of Thancreds now to keep me company. Things that I found help me at least maintaining losses to a minimum: - Hab has quite a weak right side, and moderately weak top side so try to cards with strong bottom and left values - Terra Branford with her double A on top and right makes her a good 5* that if placed correctly can at least make her safe from both Hildi & Raubhan, only problem is that you pay for this with her useless left & bottom sides

About 150 wins, at least. I couldn't bear to count anymore. 15 Godbert, 11 Thancred, 1 Hildi. These drop rates are insane. They should do totems like extreme mounts. Once you get 99 you get to turn them in for the card

Got it,i had to google like 1 hour to find this ... you just need to accept the quest"Can't Do It without U" from Wigstan in West Thanalan - The Waking Sands - The Solar (x:6.3, y:5).Then u have to go to Forgotten Springs in Southern Thanalan to finish the quest . AND THEN FINALLY Hab gives u a Quest in Souther Thanalan (x:24,8 | y:40.9 ) . then u complete his quest and u can play against him :)

15 wins, 2 Godberts, 1 Thancred, 1 Hildi & Nashu. A lot of the games I had were draws while experimenting for a deck. The one I finally got wins was with Phlegethon, Viceregent of the Warden, Onion Knight, Lucia & Estinien. It's very important to cover the top by putting Phlege middle and Vicerecent either left or right, then cap the right-middle part with Onion+Lucia and clean up with Estinien if lucky. Always ended with at least 2+ cards over.

Those are not always the first two cards. Most of the time for me, he starts with Odin, then uses Manderville followed by Thancred or Cactuar.
