Tips

This NPC is the first one you will challenge.
Her deck never changes, and she will give you explanations every time. This can take a while to get the two cards she drops as the matches are slow and the drop rate not so good.

You should, however, have no trouble beating her. She will always place her Chocobo in the center of the grid. You can take it with any of your cards on the left, or all except the Coeurl on the bottom, or even the Mandragora on the top!

But you have to try to think about more than one move. It's not really important with the Triple Triad Master, but it will be later on with other opponents. First, try to secure one captured card, and protect your own cards!

If you are lucky - or persistent - enough to get the Chocobo card from her, you could replace one of your starter cards by it, for example, the Sabotender.

Got it first try, didnt claim it and sold it thinking it was a duplicate. Now I have to farm for it now that I know what im doing

29 matches to get the card. It's not the fact that I have to do the match. It's the fact that the tutorial plays EVERY single attempt that induces madness.

Are you sure this NPC doesn't count towards the achievement? When EW began I was at 101 NPCs completed. There's 6 new NPCs and the newest achievement is for 107, an exact total. If you don't count this NPC, then this site is saying there's only 106 NPCs.

I have never challenged the Triple Triad Master before, I just checked the achievement before challenging her and afterwards. In my experience, this NPC does not contribute.

Either Lewena or triple triad master count towards the "beat x amount of npcs" challenge now, can't test which but without one of them, it's only 106 npcs out of 107
